Clubs
At Laleham, we strive to offer as many extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities for the children. We aspire to cultivate their personal talents and interests and so they can access a culturally rich and rounded learning experience. To achieve this, we enter a range of intra-school and inter-school sporting competitions. We believe that competitive activity is vital; we attend competitions such as Mixed Hockey, Tag Rugby, Mixed indoor athletics, Netball, and Football.

To promote sports further, we provide and promote a variety of early morning and after-school clubs. We have worked hard to expand our extra-curricular sporting provision and offer a wide range of opportunities for the children to participate in. We offer choir, cricket, football, netball and cheerleading clubs.

Club Allocation Approach for School Organised Sports Clubs
Following the registration of interest, we shall allocate clubs taking several factors into consideration, including (but not limited to, or in order of preference): number of places, gender, pupil premium, activity level, previous commitment, social needs. We shall continue to operate waiting lists. The decision of the school will be final; the nature of the factors that we will be considering mean that we are unable to share our reasoning in individual cases. Please trust that we know and value the children and are doing our absolute best to ensure they all get the opportunities that they need.
Every year, our clubs are oversubscribed; we see this as a fantastic reflection of the quality that we offer and the supportiveness of our parents and carers in encouraging participation. We recognise that some children will be disappointed and we ask for parent/carer support in helping children to be accepting. There are a finite number of places and that means not everyone is able to be included. We recognise that this may be quite a new experience for many of the children as during curriculum time everyone is always catered for. Please use this as an opportunity to support your child to develop acceptance and resilience as these are important life skills that are going to stand them in good stead moving forwards. We will continue to operate waiting lists for children who miss out or apply late; this has proved successful in previous years.
