Our children's voices on art

Reception:  "We like drawing and painting, I loved painting a tree."

Year1:  "We have done Lego printing. Before that, we made different colours with paints. They are called secondary colours."

Year 2:  "We built a sukkah with collage."

Year 3:  "We got to draw animals – we built it up by looking at shapes. I like it when we did sketching of flowers. We have learnt about shading techniques."

Year 4:  "In art, we can create different patterns and textures, and we have learnt different techniques like pointillism, dabbling, washes, stippling and dabbing."

Year 5:  "We learnt about art illusions and how people make them. It is called installations. We made a mini one."

Year 6:  "I enjoyed learning about macrophotography."
