Year 4:  “If we didn’t have writing, how would we know about the past?” “It is always really fun and I always get lost in words and I really like that feeling when your piece of writing is amazing”, “I like expressing how I feel through my writing.”

Year 5:  “It helps me develop my grammar skills in real life situations”, “Writing is becoming a lost spirit and grammar is disappearing. We need to bring back writing instead of texting”, “I enjoy descriptive writing because it allows me to spill my thoughts and feelings on a page”, “It helps me develop and explore new words and techniques; I don’t need to worry about making mistakes in front of everyone because I can just start again. It helps me be carefree and express my feelings.”

Year 6:  “It can transport you all over the world and into all kinds of new imaginary places. You can create new magical animals and different species of plants. It also can be powerful like expressing emotions, I like writing them the most”, “It opens up s world of creative opportunities”, “If writing wasn’t a thing, then none of your favourite books would exist."
