Our children's views on design & technology

Reception:  "We like designing our buildings, getting our tools ready, and building."

Year 1:  "We did sewing. We made Christmas stockings."

Year 2:  "I designed and made a snowman cookie. I put a sweet in the middle before I put them in the oven and it got cooked. It looked like a stained glass window."

Year 3:  "We made cards that light up – we used LED bulbs, copper wire, a battery and a switch to make a circuit."

Year 4:  "At Christmas, we made pop up and sliding cards."

Year 5:  "We made Tudor houses with wood and we had saw cutters."

Year 6:  "We were working on WWII in history. We had a make do and mend session. We did things like sewing on buttons."
