Careers Day - February 2025

In 2023, we held Laleham’s first ever careers fair. In February 2025, we expanded this to a careers day!

The children were invited to come to school dressed as what they aspire to be when they grow up. It was amazing to see an array of astronauts, vets, teachers, professors…the list goes on! All the teachers joined in too, dressing as what they wanted to be when they were little.

Throughout the morning, each year group from years 2-6 was able to visit the hall where a number of various professions and vocations volunteered their time to talk to the children about their jobs.

We were supported by a variety of participants; from architects to opticians, to opticians, who all inspired the children to think about possibilities for their future.

During the day, the children carried out various quizzes and activities linked to different careers.

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who took part. Our visitors were amazed by our pupils, and sent messages complementing their wonderful behaviour, attitudes and excellent questioning skills.
