Pupil Leadership Team

Our Pupil Leadership Team is currently made up of pupil representatives from Years 3- 6, who are elected for the year. The team is led by Iris and Harleigh (Year 6), who work alongside Mrs Ayoub to run the fortnightly team meetings and plan fundraising events. The leaders are also involved with helping at new parents’ evenings and organising elections for the new leaders.

The PLT met last week to decide upon our final fundraising event for the school year, in aid of Young Minds. We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our first ever Laleham CofE School Olympics on Friday 9th July. The whole team are busy planning for this exciting event and more details will follow shortly.

The PLT is supporting our school in joining schools across the UK who are taking part in the NSPCC’s Number Day. The children will take part in a number of cross curricular, fun maths activities which emphasise the importance of maths in our everyday lives. If you would like to contribute to the work of the NSPCC, you can make it directly online via their website. https://www.nspcc.org.uk/support-us/eventsfundraising/social-special-events/number-day

Following the team’s last meeting before Easter, the children took some fundraising ideas for our next event back to their classes to get their views. The team are due to meet on 12th May to discuss the responses and vote on our summer term fundraiser. How exciting! We will update you on the outcome, very soon.

19th May 2021

On Friday 19th March, our school celebrated Red Nose Day. Due to the continued Corona Virus social distancing restrictions, the team had to scale down our fundraising plans and, unfortunately, could not repeat our hugely successful Laleham Cake Off. We hope to repeat that exciting event next year. However, the children rose to the occasion and came to school dressed as their favourite superhero, sporting deeley boppers or simply wearing their brightly coloured clothes. We shared jokes in class, had lots of fun and managed to raise £375.00 for this fantastic charity that supports projects both in the UK and abroad. Thank you to all our parents and carers for your donations.
